About the Artist
The Artist: Jeff Hamachek
Inspired by the Texas Coast, the deep passion for art of Jeff Hamachek lives on through the body of work he created for others to enjoy just as he intended. Professionally trained artist at the Art Institute of Houston, his influence comes from the Impressionist Masters, Monet and Van Gogh with the preferred medium of oil on fine canvas with a contemporary and impressionistic style. In his execution, he plays with color transitionally as images evolve with light as the desired result comes to life on canvas. Jeff passed in 2019 and his paintings are heavily influenced by his love of Galveston Island. The beach, its people, the Islands history and pride, all served as a source of meaningful and continuous inspiration for him. His wife Jerri continues to show his work for art lovers to appreciate.
